
The New Mexico Crochet Guild serves Albuquerque and Santa Fe areas. The New Mexico Crochet Guild is a member of the Crochet Guild of America. Our goals are to teach and preserve the art of crochet. All levels of expertise are welcome, from beginners to experts to designers. Chapter dues are $25 a year.

The Guild meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 1:30pm. We meet at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy NE in Albuquerque in Room 407 of the Adult Ed Building (park in the south parking lot). When there is a 5th Saturday in a month, we meet for a fun get-together from 10am to 12 Noon. Just come, visit, stitch and enjoy. Dates for 2023 are APRIL 29, JULY 29, and SEPTEMBER 30. ****We will be meeting on April 29th at: Starbucks at 4601 Wyoming which is roughly the corner of Wyoming and Montgomery. There is lots of room and we can have a good time.
The Crochet Guild is collecting 10 inch squares to complete Comfort-ghans for members in need. Please use 4-ply worsted weight yarn and choose any kind of square of any color. Please give to Ruth at next meeting. This will be an on-going request.

New Mexico Crochet Guild supports several community programs for charities.
We collect lap size afghans and chemo caps to give to UNM Hospital Cancer Center (lap afghans can be any size, chemo caps can be for any age) – give to Ruth
We also collect baby blankets, booties and baby hats to donate to CareNet. Ruth is contact person for this charity.
We collect hats and scarves to donate to Healthcare for the Homeless – give to Tammy and also girly hats and scarves to give to Barrett House – give to Ruth
We support projects for preemies or stillborn babies. The hospitals also needs infant hats for the Nursery and Neonatal department. The hats can be normal infant size as well as premature infant size. Blankets and hats will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House for Presbyterian Hospital and UNMH Hospital. Contact Tammy for this charity.
The blankets for the Bereavement Project are requested to be 32X22, and 16X16. Anna is the contact person for this charity.
